although this is nothing compared to some of the valve covers on here, i ground/ sanded down this one myself and just sprayed it with a grill paint good for up to 1200+ degrees. i like the flat black look, but grease like to stick to it, and trying to wipe it is getting annoying so i might just spray a high temp gloss over it. anyways, here are some pics of how it sits now-

its was pretty easy, when i did it, i used a table grinder, and i gouged it pretty deep because i suck at life, so i got an electric sander in my garage and sanded it flat, it look like 30 min per side but i got it done. if i could do it over again, i would just use a dremel to get the bulk of it flat, then the sander to clean it up. OR just do the sander straight from the begining, just takes some time, but worth it in my opinion! and thanks!

here is mine can't really see how good it looks until the sun hits it but ill just show what i have right now. motor just went back in after a fresh build. The valve cover strut bar and cooling plate are all the same color the angles make them look like different colors.

Thanks and Wasn't insanely expensive. Been using my powder coater for a long time. That is all powder even the spark plug cover. His process is very unique. He airbrushes with powder. Pretty wild to watch.

Are you guys pulling the baffles? If not, how are you making sure there are no metal shavings or bead blasting media that may find its way into the motor???
