Looks good so far keep it up. Dont worry about painting the pieces to match. Get everything then paint all at once..
I'm currently doing this as well. but I'm doing an EVO IX front conversion headlights (with HID), EVO VI trunk with EVO IX wing, LED EVO VI tail lights, clear side markers, etc

Update…finally.

Thoughts on painting the valve color blue to match the silicone connectors? Or black?

I'd leave it the stock color, and get black couplers. Go for the most OEM look you can. That's what i'd do with a car like that at least.

I'd agree with wrinkle black, but I'm a little biased.

Are you selling? are you Modifying to keep it? so confused. Though I appreciate such an amazing car, I sure hope you keep it in the end.

The car is for sale. It has a been a long and difficult project, I definitely went in way over my head. I had a blast sourcing parts, but now I'm left with the tuning, maintenance and paint, the boring and expensive stuff. It will be an incredibly rare and unique car when it's done, there is no doubting that, but my priorities are changing.

I'm still working on it, slowly, however I'm not yet in the position to keep three cars, there just isn't any room. And that said, my other car isn't going anywhere!

So I got about to fixing the exhaust leaks but the car still sounds terrible. I have HKS 272 cams installed with a 3" HKS exhaust and a full HKS intake. This does not sound normal, compared to other Evo's I've seen.

Any thoughts? I've gone through with a boost leak test numerous times but it keeps running super lean at idle, like 16.5+.

Well I spent the day playing around with CeddyMods and fixing my tune. Got some stuff sorted, but during my test run the hood flew open and well…

Time to find a new hood and windshield.
