Looks awesome. I remember looking back at the original post in 08. Great to see someone stick with a project and get it done.

 

No real updates for now. I installed a set of HKS 272 cams but I am running into a nasty idle issue (leans out and almost dies). Boost leak came up with nothing, so I'm stumped.

Anyhow I bought a new daily driver so once the engine is sorted out it should be ready to go in for paint.

 

I really wanna see this thing finished. Keep up the good work!

So not much has been happening lately. I started taking the car apart for paint, got so overloaded with work I could never find a chance to work on it. Not long after I replaced the cams, had some issues there, then my PS line went out. Right now I've got a nasty exhaust leak that needs fixing, but first and foremost it needs paint.

I picked up an RX-7 a few months back from trading my 1098 (not the best way to get to work in the Fall) and its sale will let me finish the Evo right. That said here is a photo with both cars together:

That's funny because after selling the Evo 5 conversion I, too, bought an FD.

That's funny as I had two FDs and an FC prior to doing this swap. Two beautiful cars.
