Scratched the interior :( repair-able?

while installing my TT...i accidently made a few surface scratches on that black panel where the shifter is located at (the same material as the dash under the steering wheel)...is there anything i can use to repair it?

when plastice is damaged they try ironing it out....i wouldnt' recommend you try that though...you will screw it up royally....if it bothers you that much replace it....ralliart makes replacements

Heat will get most small scratches out of ABS plastic. Use a blow dryer or or heat gun (on low)

do you have a picture of the damage?...is the plastic porous? smooth? glossy?...(sorry don't own an evo....yet...)...depending on the surface type and severity of damage, a plastic polish (i.e Novus Fine Scratch Remover #2 ) or any retail plasic polish like Mother's or Meg's should at least minimize the damage if not remove it...

hmm..one day when it was hot but not too hot, i accidently scratched the shifter panel and the paint came off like the heat melted it. is it that cheap? and it wasn't that hot..my shifter panel is the same color as my car, thunder gray, and it went through the paint so now its a lighter grayish blue color
