DIY antenna resize

Well since I hated having that huge antenna i figured i'd fix it myself. just cut your antenna to the size you want, snip off the tip and reattach with some shrinkwrap. it took me about 5 minutes total and looks way better. reception is still good (but who listens to the radio anyway?).

and

one more

hope you like your new antenna.

i mean cut the tip (top) of the antenna off and reattach it again to antenna.. if you don't do that it looks kind of funny... and the actual name is called heat shrink tubing not shrink wrap.. you can get it at autozone for $2.16.

You can get shorter antennas for about $20. I think they come off a Honda S2000, but I could be wrong there. Look even better than DIY.

Mach V has them for $19.00.

i did the same thing a couple of weeks ago.

however, if you wiggle and pull hard enough the whole rubber end cap will come off.

then cut the mast to length and push the rubber end back on.

looks exaclty like stock, just shorter.

plus you save $20 - thats a tank of gas
