Anyone have pics of their Cwest Double Carbon Louvered hood????

Well I just bought one locally and there are a few things that aren't sitting too well with me. First off the fitment is a little whacky. Cwest stuff in the past for me has fit damn near OEM. This hood sits super high on the passenger side 1/2 centimeter and the left side is more ok, but still off. Probably needs some adjustment and some hood pins.

Updated pics after polish from my detailer DetailAddict.

Secondly there is no Cwest badge under the resin like other parts I have acquired. But I have only had fiberglass cwest stuff in the past, so I'm not sure if their double carbon hood isnt supposed to have it since its all CF.

Thirdly the vent doesnt sit flush with the hood. The louvered vent looks like it was plopped on top of the hood and there is an obvious ridge and gap.

If you have any pics of yours, I'd love to compare. I will be posting pics of the hood I have on the car right now. It is super lightweight, so I am thinking it is real and just needs adjustment, but I want to be sure before I go crazy. Thanks in advance

-Ken

Pics added. I still need help. I was looking around and it doesn't look like anyone even makes a copy of this hood. So I guess it has to be real? Sucks because I just noticed some parts of the clear cracking off and the passenger side fitment is just horrible. The hood is two layers of CF and when I open the hood it feels like the thing is going to separate.

I have to polish the hood too to get the hazing out.

maybe you can take it to a body shop. they have the tools and experience to align it for you. i'm sure it will look good once you get the alignment fixed.

Does anybody eklse have this hood? I know ArchiBabes had one on his old evo, but he had the fiberglass one and painted it. I remember his fitment looking dead on.

Look at the fitment on his....damn near perfect. I know you can adjust the hoodat the latch, but at the hinge, there is only so much u can do and for whatever reason the passenger side sits really high.

I'm sure you can get it close with some adjustment. Also, I really hope you plan to have it painted. From the pics it looks very faded and yellow. Would look much better painted to match.

Yah actually in the second pic you can see where my detailer spot tested some products on the hood on a little square. He can get the oxidization and fading off. The yellowing will still sort of be there, but it will look much better than it does in the pics. If all else fails I will paint it black to match and leave the vent portion carbon.

I really dont think they make a replica of this hood. especially if its the carbon version. got one also but not on the car yet. the vents have gaps also but not as bad as yours. it weighs a lot lighter than stock. it looks bad because of the fading clear coat. get that taken cared off and it would look 100x better. so youre the one that bought the hood from norcalevo

will try to get some pics later.

That doesn't look typical of C-West CF quality. Sorry man!
