It is kevlar and cf. I will try to get an underside pic. No fitment issues. They come from one mold and it produces what you see in the pics !

With the car already having a light-weight aluminum 22lb hood, is there really anything saved with a cf or cf/kevlar hood?

The hod is likely around 20 lbs so no big saving in weight with the cf hoods. Kevlar is a very strong material that is also used in bullet proof vests. I am no expert (at all) on kevlar but I believe it is also very light weight material. In this aplication I think it is used more for cosmetics to give the hood the "silverish" look.

Boston'sEvO-->8 , It would be $1099 shipped and the lead time from order to completion of hood is approx. 2 weeks !

Carbon fiber is strong but brittle. Carbon-kevlar is used when some pliability (bendiness) is needed since it's not as likely to shatter.

BTW, kevlar is no lightweight. Kevlar is used in combat helmets. It will stop an M16 round (not from point blank though)

I stand corrected. I thought maybe it was a lightweight material that found it's way to this kind of appllication but it sounds like it is just used for cosmetics and durability.

I am waiting on the pics and yes, a member from these boards has it and it was , I believe, some form of sponsorship , so I am sure it was cheaper.
