Bump

 

a little update. I am currently moving this weekend, so it will be pretty quiet from me from home, since i have to get cable hooked up. Update is that the rods are necessary at high speeds, as a safety precaution. They only sell the kits with the rods, although you don't have to attach them if you want to, but they told me with precaution that the drag of the wind could cause it to become loose, the kit replaces 2 bolts with metal bolts but the rest are stock plastic screws. So its still bolt on but you can thank mitsubishi for using plastic screws to hold the car together. The price will be set at 250 without shipping unless i grab enough orders.

wmcor could you help me with making a list of people who want to purchase it so i can get a total of people who want one... thanks.

 

I'm not as nuts about it with the rods...but perhaps if we replace all the screws with metal we'll be ok??

This is a tough one since I really don't like the look WITH the rods but I don't want it flying off either.

Any idea on shipping costs?

I'd be happy to make a list if anyone wants to either update this post or PM me if they are in on a group buy.

Can you post a close up pic showing the carbon weave. I would like it to match the rear wing, if possible.

It's my understanding it attaches in the stock screw location, however the rods can be attached wherever you want i.e. they are not pre-drilled in the splitter.
