This is probably the weirdest thread I have ever seen. I just bought an 03 Lightning evo VIII as well and have a boxer running around too!

As I promised here are the pics of the Mirage. It currently has the stock 4G61t in it, with a full 3" exhaust, all free mods, Hallmann es boost controller on 10psi, 450cc injectors, Walbro 255, and a K&N filter. It was all original when I purchased it except for the floormats, and it is extremely clean and straight. I bought it from an older guy who didn't know just how rare it was. Just to let you know just how rare, for those who don't, there were only 1500 sent over here.

The intercooler is just mounted and awaiting to be plumbed when I put my 4G63 in it. The 4G63 that is going in it is a 6 bolt, and is bored .020 over, Wiseco pistons, no balance shafts, all ARP studs and bolts, ported and polished head, Ferrera valve locks, SBI brass valve guides, SSI valves, BC 272/272 cams, BC valve springs and titanium retainers, Slowboy Bastard 20g. Man, I could go on forever, there is a lot more thats gonna go into it. Right now the shortblock is complete, and I need to get my lazy a$$ to the machine shop to take my head to get the valve guides put in it. Then it is only a matter of putting it on and doing all the hang ons.

evo looks good...don't like the rims much...mirage is sick...you wanna sell it?? pleaseeeee...i'm in the process of trying to find one of those myself...yours is so clean....and the boxer is bad*ss...

 

I love to see the BR 3' TBE, I have it on my 06 EVO MR and it sounds and looks great.
If you do drop the car, please replace it with coilover's and not just swamp out the springs. My friend replaced his springs for the tein spring and now the front two shocks are gone. But again nice ride and welcome to the Evo community.

 

To each his own I say. I like a simple looking 5 spoke wheel, not too big on tons of spokes or skinny looking 5 spokes. Nah, don't think I could give the Mirage up man, took me forever to find it, and I've already got way to much tied up in it to let it go. Its a blast to drive even with the 1.6 in it, and I know it will be hell on wheels when it gets the 2.0 in it. Have you tried looking on www.4g61t.org? There is a forsale section on there with a good many up for grabs. Thanks for the comments man.
