My Evo IX Wannabe
Thanks for all the input guys.
Splitter is comin off for the winter anyway, probably gonna keep it off. A buddy of mine makes them and I thought I'd rep it for a lil.
Exhaust DOES stick out a lil haha, yikes. Changing out the tow hook to a Nukabe, a lil shorter and more subtle hook.
You read my mind

PM me some info if youd like, Ill PM you this as well.
Is the splitter basically a larger APR splitter? Carbon Fiber construction? Does it act as an undertray as well? Does it have any aerodynamic significance, as in is there any reasoning and research to its design? Sorry a bunch of questions, but if it is functional, CF, and acts as an undertray... I might want to take that off your hands

PM me some info if youd like, Ill PM you this as well.the splitter came as an idea from a buddy of mine. He bought an APR splitter for his Subie on NASIOC and was really disappointed in it. It was heavy and was basically aluminum sheet wrapped with carbon fiber overlay.
It gave him the idea to buy "Sign" Material. The aluminum that they use for Burger King signs and stuff. He had to buy bulk because the company was only selling commercially so he has sheets almost like sheetrock stacked in his basement. The stuff is about 1/2" thick. He traced it out and bought a box of rods and turnbuckles from APR. He started selling his splitters locally to suby members.
I asked if I could get one for the Evo. We pulled the bumper off traced it. From the front of the bumper its 4" and slowly tapers to about 2.5" on the sides.
Here is my buddy Brody rocking the splitter at Miller Motorsports here in Utah. His is bolted alot better than mine. I just did the (8) bolts on the bottom. He actually has them riveted onto his bumper...

The black STi in the back right is also rocking the DIY splitter

Guys, he first posted months ago without a wing, then he posted "as it sits today" with a wing on it.
Yes, different wheels is all it needs and you shall be set.
Just need MIVEC, a IX turbo and ACD controls inside
hehe.
Props on getting the IX look.
