bryan.. steve.. thx to all you guys & I'll prolly see you trakside soon.
Cool vid man! It's weird that our times were so close...alot of the track we are in different gears and some different lines. Granted, different gear ratios etc, but still...cool to see! Congrats again Nils!

Nice vid Nils! Here's a similar vid from inside my car. My best lap included a full lock tankslapper in turn #2, getting held up in the big sweeper, missing some clipping points, and then bounding of the curbing in the esses. My car had issues and my driving wasnt 100% (as proof in the video).
Oh well, cant win em all.....

you, me, ryan...etc... were all gonna have our days & were gonna keep pushing each other.
For the record; my best lap for the 2 days there was a 56.1 ....... and my timer was about 2 tenths slower than the AMB .... so you know I was the fastest kid on the block this time around..... muhahaha...
all in good spirit.... i luuuuuv you guys
Yes you were and that's why you went home with the big trophy
I also did a 1:56.1 during a very hot NASA weekend there with the tighter and more restrictive Redline rules setup. I expected to go better at SLB with the allowed wider tires, wider track width, no cat rule, better weather conditions, etc. Unfortunately for me, I didnt get it together good enough at SLB even though the top 4 of us were way under last year's winning time. I truly expected to run int the lower 1:55's but it didnt work out for me. Racing......
These wins are more meaningfull when there is close competition like there is now. Competition was non-existant earlier in the year which took some of the luster off the wins. I'm glad to have it here now!

Do you think you can back up your great lap time with the tighter Redline rules next March at their season opener? I currently have their street class track record with a 1:57 flat. Their 2009 rules are looser than their 2008 rules which should help, especially if the new Yok street tire is as good as it's supposed to be.
I know it's early but, what are your predictions for next year's SLB?
I say:
street = 1:55.5
mod/lim = 1:49 flat
Unl = 1:42.5

Nope, they are just closing down their big facility in Torrance. Everything is great between us, just too much shop overhead in these trying times.
I will still have the same brains and brawns working/helping with my car. I will just be doing it from a different location.
I have raced my entire life, even before Dan Harman was even born
I'm no where near ready to stop now. When I am, I will be putting my kids in some cars and there will be another whole generation of little JC's to **** on everyone's parade....
