Official Aftermarket shift knob list & pics
i use a voodoo shift knob.
$30, weighted nicely and it has a really nice pearl finish to it. Fits tight as well (unlike the silly sparco knob the car came with)
I think mine looks nicer than some of the arc knobs I've seen here, cannot comprehend how they are worth $150 to anyone.
I'll try to get a picture sometime, highly recommend these.

I think titanium would be too light. My opinion is that a shift knob with a little weight to it can improve shift accuracy. Think of a typical light switch, you only need to move it half the way, then it clicks into place. Of course, on a car your moving the shifter +95% of the way.

the one i use looks like this:
http://pic19.picturetrail.com/VOL105.../291189612.jpg
It tightens down nicely on the plastic piece above the shift boot on the evo, so it looks tight.
Not sure how the threads match up, mine had trouble screwing down because the stupid sparco knob destroyed the top threads of the shifter. Turned smoothly otherwise.
