^ Bumper is $425 shipped + paint which can be done for $100-250 depending on who you know.

best bet go with the actual JDM rear bumper. it will cost more but the fitment will be precise as well as color if you have one of the colors they sell it in its all oem so theres no problem with it other then price

For everyone out there running a JDM rear bumper, how do you guys feel about driving without a rear crash bar? Im getting a JDM rear for Christmas and I'm slightly hesitant about driving without one (as far as insurance is concerned they wont cover me being rear ended if they find out I'm not running a rear crash bar)

no polyurethane is nothing like fiberglass. fiberglass has very little flex to it so i will break much easyier

and as the the rear chash beam question i got mine modified to fit with the jdm bumper you will see a white bar going across thats because its from my friends WW mr i used his while my bumper was getting shiped to me

JNZ tuning has them pre-painted for 699 may cut down on shipping costs and your wait.

If you know cars and you look at the rear crash beam mount point you will see its not the frame. The bar is useless in anything over a 5mph impact. The bars do nothing for stiffening the chassis and aren't even supplied on the JDM EVO.

Do yourself a favor and stop worrying about something and will only protect your car from backing into a shopping cart.

I dont think the concern here is about how much damage it will do, I'm 99.9% sure the concern is about what an insurance company can do if or when you do get in an accident with no rear crash bar...they may not cover anything

how easy or difficult was it to modify the crash bar. could it jus be cut with a that cutting/welding machine.

i swear i used to think these bumpers were like 500 shipped.

i also have the injen ses 3" exhaust system. the quietest exhaust system ive ever heard on an evo with my test pipe. i hope this jdm bumper fits it. looked through the fitment thread n no one had this exhaust with the 9 bumper.
