It all depends on what you want to do with it. Do you only intend on shooting cars or do you want to dabble into portraiture? I say start with a 50mm f1.8 it is a really cheap lens which can produce high quality results and has nice bokeh. If you shoot at f1.8 you will have a shallow dof and the lower your aperture the more focused your subject and background become. The 50mm can be had for around $100 or just under $150! Hope this helped a bit!!
