i've ran mine through a touchless carwash without any problems, you just have to clean the wheels yourself to get all the brake dust off.

I had an emergency cleaning done at one, it was ok... Don't do it often, it'll wear down your clearcoat wax....

Which mode did you get? i noticed the upper two have chassi cleaning...this a good/bad thing to get since we have that oil on it to keep it (from rusting???)? and what about the wax that it does.....good/bad job of it...?

Nothing gets your wheels cleaner than doing them by hand. Spraying Mothers (in the yellow bottle) on them before the wash helps a lot.

I hate the high pressure spray into my hood vents... likely doesn't hurt anything, but I'd rather avoid it on a hot motor... at the least it makes for water spots places rain never reaches.

Personally, I'd prefer not to take the chance and wash the car by hand.

Is it a bad thing to care about the car you own and like/ enjoy ?
(specially a band new car.)

anyhow i've been through the touchless carwash at least twice with the evo.
I am worried about the engine being hot with all that water goin through it, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Personally i don't like touchless carwashes 'cause there are always water marks afterwards and it doesn't clean very well under the wing leaving you to do it by hand anyways.

I don't let any machine touch the body of my evo. It's done by hand usually twice a week. I love this car and treat it like a ferrarri

I use a potscrubber brush on my wheels.. it works great. I figure the finish on my wheels is at least as durable as a nonstick surface on a pan.

yeah, I understand. I especially understand with old (classic cars)... but for some reason, I just don't fell that way about newer cars. But I do see what you mean...I am that way with some things in my life... so I still hold to my obnoxious opinion for ME, but I can totally understand for others out there that it is important. We all have different priorities. Plus, I think I am just super lazy!! That's really what its about... I am just too damn lazy to wash my car.... I know, that is pretty pathetic. I think I will wash it this weekend out of feeling guilty.
