Project Kics or Rays Lug Nuts?

I've been hearing mixed reviews about both lug nuts. I've never used the Kics before and have always used the Rays. I'm being told that the Project Kics won't scratch your wheels like the Rays have done to mines in the past. I still feel more safe with the Rays as I've experienced with other brands like Mutekis and i didn't like them. I'm still hesistant about open ended lug nuts b/c i wouldn't want them to break on me b/c I've had that happen before. Can someone assist on which is better? Maybe SpeedElement or others on this board can help?

Also do you think that the Project Kics Neo Chrome Extended lugs look good with Diamond Black TE37s? or should I just get the Rays Black ones.. also Extended or Non-Extended. The wheels are 18x9.5 +22 BTW

Last Question.
Would it be best if I used a 255/35/18 tire for these wheels are 265/35/18?

All opinions and inputs are welcomed and appreciated.

as you can see from the above pic, the lugs have a seat on them (the yellow ring) and it does not turn when the lugs turn so it will not scratch up the wheels. a lot of people use kics and i've never heard any complaints on them. they don't cost over $200 for no reason, lol. i would stick with either titanium or black chrome in the extended lug.

265 is a bit too wide for the ix even with rolled fenders. i would stick with the 255. i had 255's on my 18x9.5 +20 work emotions and they rub badly.

I was thinking about sticking with the 255s but on my current setup of 18x9 Advan RS, the tire looked stretched and I was hoping to avoid that look.

Would the Kics in Neo Chrome looks good on Diamond Black TE37s?

I like the look of the blue Rays extended lugs and I'm going with the gold Advan RG2's on a 255 tire. Hella expensive for the lugs but then again tax free paychecks are freggin sweet!

the Mutekis that I've used and my friends used, had worn out easily from track times. So Far the Rays haven't done that since I've owned a Honda back in the day. Only thing with the Rays is that they chip away at your rims and I was hoping to see better results in the Kics but my friend with the G35 hated his set b/c it was difficult to take off after a few times. That's why I'm trying to get reviews on ppl on the board to see whom else has these lug nuts.

McGards are a good alternative and they're cheap. So Far they haven't failed but they're just a lil heavy that's all. McGards are good b/c you can buy them at Pepboys or almost anywhere here in Cali.

Those are the Volks ones right?. I haven't experienced those yet but heard good reviews on them. As for the Kics my buddy had them and they rusted that's why he sold them. I think I might just stick with the typical black Rays.
