^ Instigator, you smacked it right on the head. Except it looks a bit odd when compared to the VII design. Nevertheless, it looks a WHOLE lot better than the pontiac emblem. Eww.

 

I don't know what to think.....

 

Any idea how do-able this would be for a good body shop assuming it is structurally feasable? I wouldn't want it half assed.

But this is what I really want it to look like, a VII:

 

All you would need is some kind of emblem in the middle to make some sort of character out of the empty space... Like on the VII's, they have the little red Diamond star...

 

wow, what a difference just a little symbol makes in the looks. Without it, it looks like you got in some accident or you just kicked the front of your car and it has some open space, looks crappy.


... and the C west kit does kinda look like a honda

Sorry about that wmcorcor, I just picked a black evo front end from the gallery. Besides removing the front mitsu sign, I lightened up the color, 'cause I like charcoal ^_^

 

No it's no problem. I like how it looks, and now if I can only take a hacksaw to the pontiac divider....

I do have some ideas that I'll post if I follow through.

 

I was thinking about bringing it to my local body shop, but that's a tad bit expensive (really expensive).



Maybe you could shave the whole off of the front-end,



bondo a really thin piece of sheet metal underneath or above the hole where the used to be,



and then have the front end re-painted.

i just had my front emblem shaved off. i'll post pix this weekend. let me know wat you guys think. was it a good idea? or i didnt want to chop off the nose because it looks too much like an accord and a lancer. i want it to stand out but i hated the front emblem. so i shaved it. look forward to pix this weekend.

 

It took some time for the new front end to grow on me, but now i love it how the hood makes a point at the new emblem. In addition I think that the opening is a little to big to have nothing there (looks a little like the Mazda 6 or speed Protege)

I think the 8 looks way more agressive up front
Keep in mind that when the VII first came out many hated but it grew on us also.

Also in look a the Puma racing Evo VIII vs the ADVAN Rally evo VII
which looks better to you?
