First race in the Evo; in-car video
Fair enough, good to hear your comment, although maybe I should mention that I've been racing professionally for the last 12 years - up to 2001 I raced in all sorts of categories all over the world, since 2001 I've been doing behind-the-sceens development with Ford Motorsports.
The fact is the track was extremely dusty as I mentioned and the car was very badly affected by handling balance, shoddy road tires and brake bias, plus I usually drive a 600hp rear drive for Ford and this was my very first experience in the Evo and with 4WD.
I was overdriving purposely,to see how the car would respond, we lowered tire pressures about 7psi throughout the day and the car improved markedly. Anyways, we were easily the fastest on the day, so not bad for first time out.
BTW, no coilovers for now, as this car is 100% DD and the Mexican roads are like motorcross tracks

that car scoots along pretty damn fast.. ha ha.. thas pretty cool to be tearin it up in mexico...
but hey... u woulda thought a pro driver would sort out the suspension & Brakes first... or you buy it like that?
put $$ in shocks & sum other stuff to really make it fun to drive & way faster... pm me if you have any specific questions.

I certainly wasn't "having a go" at the gentleman who wrote that about me Goch, but I think maybe he jumped to conclusions. I can see by his "firma" that he certainly must know how to drive very well..
Saludos.
Yes I hear you, but this is a daily driver..heck it even has a baby seat in the back!!!
I decided to take it out for a bit of fun, and as you say, tear it up a bit...but..quite honestly I'm feeling the bug beginning to bite and I just may end up turning this Evo into something a little more serious
