so my buddy gave me a set of bride immitation seats for FREE brand new cause it didn't fit his car.. it looks good but the material feels really cheap...i currently have the leather recaros right now..not sure if i should swap them out for these immitation brides... anyone have any experience with these? if i was to put these in my car..anyone know where can i get a set of mounts and sliders for it for cheap?

nah dude dont do it, true they were free, but you have to get rails and they might be alil flimsy you know what im saying? i mean you lean back in those and you 'bout to be laid out!!!! literally.just chill with the stock recaros and you 'll be good. i mean you can get some rails to make your stock seat lower. just sell em and get some paper man.. alil extra cash can help. but try em if you want, but i'd stray from the fakes, safety is at stake!!!!

btw i'm telling you this because i had some in my old AE86 about 4 yrs ago, i got the car with no seats in it and a friend of mine gave me the driver seat for 75 bux, wasnt worth it. i ended up buying another GTS seat later, the fakes arent worth the hassel, that was my experience. but i needed a seat and 75 bux sounded good to me. think about it

 

just sell 'em on ebay. make some beer money

 

i decided to turn one of the seat into my computer chair and another one into a gaming seat...will post pic later of setup

That picture makes them look nice but the thing is that not all fakes are created equally. They make look good but how well will they hold you in the seat? Are they DOT approved? During a crash they could fall apart causing you and/or your passengers serious harm or death...

 

I had fake seats that SNAPPED ON ME WHILE DRIVING.

i almost fell into the back seat of the car and almost lost grip of the steering wheel.

 

fake seats area terrible idea. unsafe.

james- its not the chairs fault. you must have flexed or something and the seat gave out in sign of respect for your awesomeness.

 

fake seats + free seats= cool seats

i wouldnt do it, keep the stock seats

replica of the BRIDE Digo... that is the real picture, but the material is probably different thats one of the few ways you can distinguish its fake-ness. i suggest you use it as a gaming/office chair like a few people have mentioned
