how do you like the new built 2.3? i threw a rod and i totally wanted to go with a 2.3 build but as a college student funds are very short. you can only make soo much as a 19yr old valet lol
Hey mate, cheers, for that.

The 2.3 Stoker is good, really strong & reliable. The company that was building it ran the same spec & had 800bhp from it.

It gives a good low down torque power as well but I am going to do a full new big valve head with wilder cams, along with 1000cc Injectors, 4" Intercooler & big turbo.

Why not go for a 2.2 re-build, they can rev a bit more than the 2.3. I thought it would be cheaper over there for the parts etc. I was £10,000 for all the work on the engine etc but that was all fluids, engine in & out, mapping, fuel, labour & parts.

the only evo we can import.. is the 8,9 from the US. but that is only a new development, law changed maybe 4-5 moths ago or so.... which is what i did with my 8. but its a bit of paperwork and a little wait time... but we can import any other car from any country as long as its 15years old... so that means we could import an evo 1... thats about it. as i have done also with a '92 subaru impreza wrx from japan....... and of course there is the 10 which is sold here like normal

Well I was off to meet someone on Saturday that I sold some parts to & a couple of miles from where I was meeting him I got the dreaded turbo no boost & hate seeing any of my cars on the back of a recovery truck

I still have no idea how it managed to destroy the inlet as I cant find anything that could have caused it.

The carbon is all off it now apart from a few bits (exhaust trim & vortex)

The turbo was only running peak 2-2.2 bar mid range then tailed off top end, I think some how something go into the turbo but no idea what though.

Hey folks, not been on for a bit as had a few things keeping me occupied so here is a small update.

Car was in Wallace Performance (Where I am temp working as my Oil & Gas job fell through) got the following fitted when it was in:

Hel Braided Clutch Line
Hel Braided Front & Rear Brake Lines
Tein Type Flex Coilovers inc Top Mounts & EDFC Controller
Cusco 3 Point Front Brace
Cusco 3 Point Rear Brace
Rexpeed Carbon Bonnet Lifters

Car looks a lot better & handles a lot better to.

Before that I got my std 17" OZ Superturismo painted black & I painted the Brembos black as well.

Gave the car a wash & here are some pics, I removed the front fog lights as well for me to allow more air flow.

Engine bay with front & rear braces

A few of the external

Got a few things to fit to the car:

AP 6 pot 332mm Front Brakes, just waiting on DBA to get me some new front discs as the AP ones are rubbish.

1200cc RC Injectors, will hopefully order them next week from THmotorsport.

Waiting for a friend to change intercoolers so I can get his APS intercooler & pipework.

Also waiting on new rear Tein top mounts as the current ones are cracked.

Car was mapped the other night as well to suit the standard turbo & made 400bhp & 360 l/b, not bad for a standard Evo 6 Turbo but I cant wait to get a Twin Scroll GT35 on the car.
