well first things first. You should not be worried about getting rear ended learn how to drive and quit speeding and you will be fine. Here in Louisiana if you get rear ended no matter what its the other drivers fault. Same if you hit somebody. Second if you actually read my install I said im sending my crash beam off to get reweiled so it will fit. its nothing to take the bumper off and put this bar on. Hard part is already done. Third the reason it took me 6 hours is MAYBE because this was my first time ever doing this and I did not have any help just me no extra set of hands to hold things or talk to etc. Now if i do it again it will be alot quicker

Grey on bottom covering that up to me would make the bumper not only look plain answer- it wont be plain, it would be betterbut you would then have to remodify the whole license plate bracket again to get the lights infront of the new longer plate yes you would but again it would look great. Now comes the question how are you gonna get the ends of it to stick with no pressure?? answer- here's a link of a product that i used before---> http://www.dragonplate.com/ecart/pro...pID=699&cID=23
What the middle will be fine because the license plate will hold that but what about the ends . use superglue hmm that might eventually come off just from regular weather conditions Contact solution same thing. Double sided tape would work for awhile till water got behind it. You would either have to put small longer screws in it or longer i mean long riviets. now your have little chrome spots everwhere. let me guess you will paint them black to try and blend in?!?!? one could put the back board in plate first with screws or riviets then sand them down as much as you could so they are at least almost flush then place the carbon fiber over it. that would work for sure and insure a smooth look . answer- epoxy is the answer again lolWay to much work as far as im concern just to make it look horrible.answer- yes it would be a little more work, but my way it would look clean and flush But you welcome to rig one up good luck answer- it looks like you already did, by the way are you not worried about carpenter ants, termites and mold attacking the plywood? or is it marine plywood? lol

Looks good. I thought you were putting the carbon on the front of the bumper though, filling in the recessed area of the JDM bumper. Sorta like the garnish filler plates they make for a USDM bumper.
I'm a lil leary of that wood substance behind the carbon fiber though. That is wood isn't it? Looks like it to me in your pictures.

Plus for everyone worrying about that "super strength" crash beam installed on the US cars, it's not a real big deal. Thats for 5mph crash tests, a gov regulated safety item. It's not gonna save ur car from damage on a serious hit. It's there to save damage on a bump only. I've owned several car that never had crash beams, and a car where I removed both front and rear crash beams.

Anyway, great how-to!
