Removing an Intercooler Stencil

Anyone have experience removing a spray painted on intercooler stencil? In particular, the one (i think?) comes as an option from ETS.

I assume i'll be able to get the paint off the face of the core, but is their anyway of getting out from between the fins? Maybe a chemical, eg. brake cleaner?

I'd hate to get half of it off and have it look like crap

Liquid/gel paint remover will do it. Brush it on, wait a bit, spray off with a garden hose.

Be careful with some of the more powerful paint strippers, as they may negatively react to the very thin fins of the intercooler.

Try it on a small spot first!

Also, I'd like to have it as polished as possible. So again, i don't think paint would be a good option for me

You don't put regular paint on an intercooler. Best thing to do is have it anodized the color of choice.

Best place to pick this stuff up?

And i noticed your signature. Were you going to fifth to pull 113mph in the 1/4 with the 6speed?

I'm shooting for an 11.9 with the same mods as the ones in your signature + GSC S1 cams + fmic - hyper force. With a mild tune. i did a 12.3 @ 109 with that same mods as you. You on the stock 17's?

I'm just worried about having to shift to fifth.
