powdercoating question?
Hi, just a few questions,
1. how durable is powdercoating compared to regular paint?( resists stone chips better, more resistant to scratches from tire machine?)
2. can you powdercoat over an existing painted/powdercoated wheel or do you have to strip the paint off.
3. does it need to be clear coated after powdercoating?
thanks guys!

Have you tried google, my friend? Im sure quite a few ppl can tell you thats is very durable. A few will tell you that the process will weaken wheels. These are not bad questions though.

^^^thanks. i just wanted first hand answers from people that have done it for my intended purpose. im getting frustrated at google giving out related businesses first before answers. that site is useful. thanks.
on a side note i just got my bbs powdercoated
powdercoat is more durable then paint
it will def withstand chips and rocks and such better then paint
and aslong as it is a thick color such as a black it does not require a clear coat
but a fancy color could require one
you cannot powdercoat over them, you need to have them acid dipped or sand/media blasted
i had mine media blasted and they came out phenomenal
