I've been looking at buying an evo, however there is one thing that bothers me. The fact that there is no leather interior. I know that it is a sports car and all, but coming from a car with leather, it's like I have to have it. And besides the ladies love it! Anywayz, do ya'll think about a custom leather interior in the evo? Nothing two tone, but a nice solid color. Oh yeah, and the dash and doors to match the seats.

 

Katzskin makes one for the Evo. Last time I was on their site they didn't have it listed,because its a new application. If you call them refer to the Lancer Evolution kit. It comes with door panel inserts, and can be optioned in two tone and Alcantara inserts I believe.

Bah, I came from a car with leather too! You don't need it, you get alcantara-like suede fabric on the sides and the regular fabric inserts in the center. If you want to replace the blue inserts with more alcantara, that will give you an almost-suede feel.

Just look at the '03+ BMW 330i ZHP cars which come with 100% alcantara seats! Or the M3 CSL, the list goes on. You can't get into an Evo without appreciating the entire package man.

 

I'm not a huge fan of leather seats in general. I ditched the factory leather in my camaro for some corbeaus and it looked a ton better. I'd say leave the stock interior or get a different set of seats (not leather ). "Evo with Leather" just doesn't feel right

The FQ 300 seats are awesome. They have color corresponding leather inserts around the edge of the seat. Those would satisfy me easily.

 

Hell yeah. I love the FQ-300 seats. Almost reminds me of the matching seats Ferraris have.

Since you asked, I will give you my opinion.

If you want leather, than the Evo is not the car for you. Try a softer more luxury car.

The Fq300 pics with the Red and black alcantara/leather combo is awesome looking.

Btw- You don't have to be a fat-assed luxo ***** who needs a "soft" car to like leather. You just have to like leather....period.

On the other side of the coin, as was mentioned, the Evo interior certainly isn't bad as is, I just wish they would have used a dark charcoal cloth insert as opposed to the blue.

I know the picture is tilted.. but I seriously think that embroidery is not straight. I would call them back and have them redo it. Color is a matter of personal taste.. but you should make sure you get what you pay for.

Or retake the picture. I know the effect of perspective on an image, but I am still convinced that the embroidery is not straight, unless you prove otherwise.
