What should I do for the winter?

My black evo is gonna be my daily driver as i dont have another car .

So what can I do to prevent it from rusting. I dont think I got anything from the dealer, and should I do anything for the paint Job? Thanks for the help.

Wash it frequently. Wax it ~3 times before snow hits. Get snow tires. Maybe even a different set of rims.

I live in an apartment complex and I have a heated garage. One of my former co-workers told me that the heat would cause rust to form faster. He said that the heat would speed up the chemical reaction. Has anyone else herd of this?

guys, dont get paranoid about the winter and rust, think of all your freinds and family cars have, did they rust the first year they got them, or at all since then. just get some winter tire's fot this bad boy and have fun. if it rust from natural causes and not a scratch let f***** worry about.

just keep the car clean and waxed, and clean the underbody every so often, and you will be fine

front bra!!! the evo's paint is very thin, if you don't cover up the front, your bumper/hood will get chips to hell!!!

The do but Evo + bra in winter = mess

The golden rule of the bra is take it off before/when it gets wet and only put it on a clean car. Trying to keep up with either is very difficult in winter...and it only takes one tiny piece of salt or sane stuck between the bra and the paint to spell disaster.

I have a black Evo and all I plan to do for winter (and I DO live in the northeast) is put on all-season tires, take off the splitter and make sure I wax it as many times as possible before the mess starts....oh yea and cross your fingers. I try to hang back in traffic to avoid the salt and cinders being thrown up but that's not always easy or possible.

I also try to hit the spray off (rinse only) car wash to keep the salt to a minimum.

cross you fingers and we'll see in April...
