C-west front vs. EVO IX front
hmmm better be warned on this site when it comes to body kits. most love the stock look with cf lip or lowered blah blah blah. I prefer not to look like every other evo at car shows and track meets. i say cwest, ait racing, voltrex(canards, lower cf splitter) then oem 9. but its your car do what you want. Call it ricer if you want but when you race these so called people calling it rice then they get destroyed then what. they just got beat by a ricer get over it. only your opinion matters not others. if you like the way a certain part looks on your car guess what rock it your the one making the payments and driving it not them. sent you pm
im running a cwest on my evo 9 mr right now. just go to my profile and look at the album or something.
i got into an accident a while back and my jdm front was gone....and my friend hooked me up with a really cheap cwest front.
if i had a choice, i would invest either back to the JDM front, or the voltex front!

after you put all the after market stuff, you will realize that the OEM actual really looks nice as well as functional than any other kits. Many use after market kits and revert back to the OEM's. Mitsubishi engineers have thought of this very well before deciding which kit will be the OEM.

canards and jdm headlights(or painted look) help too
I have a Cwest front with CF Canards and a JDM rear. Just plan out the look that you're trying to achieve and stick to it. Regrets usually cost a lot of $$$$ Oh BTW- you need to remove your crash beam with the JDM rear unless you intend to buy an aftermarket crash beam, again, costs $$$$. Just some additional expenses to think about.
bodykits on an evo (80% of the time) are overdone... because these cars come with factory oem kits that already look aftermarket... adding anything bigger or more edgy would throw off the flow of the car thus giving wut most ppl here call the "ricer" look... however... i never thought of the c-west kit to be that... its almost the same length and width as the oem bumper so therefor its not to extreme in dimensions... it does however sit about 1-1.5" lower than the factory bumper... the lowered flat surface would create more downforce... exceptionally bigger area for intercooler/oil cooling, and a functional scoop that directs air straight to the filter... IMO i do not think the cwest kit is "rice" nor overdone. It is also not a fact that u would have to adjust ur IC piping in order for it to fit... Having had both on my car... the clearance is no different from a oem bumper with aftermarket lip... ur car ur choice...
