update, going for the tune at iveytune on the 2nd!!!!


hey, i just recently finished up a build for my car. i snaped a rod last october and just wanted to share with everyone what it was like. i did the complete build by myself as well. well here you go and let me know what you guys think.

for the head. tossed my old hks 264's for kelford 280's with supertech duel springs and coated valves.




together


as for the manifold, i did a good amount of porting(bushur cast manifold turbo kit)






and the bottom end i used a oem 100mm crank, manley i-beam rods, and custom ross coated pistons, which are pretty cool

and then the assem, and install. also sold my fpgreen for a hta37r kit.

looks really good man. 9:1 compression on those pistons or are they a higher compression?

thanks for the comments. i went 10.0 to 1 compression and im just waiting for injector to get to my house and i will be getting tuned soon after. i cant wait to see what it makes. and yes i did do all the porting myself.

 

Awesome! I have been thinking about next year doing a 2.3l and going from the 35R to the 37R. Cant wait to see your numbers and see how you like this combo on the street!

wevo1985 i saw these build and pics way before the thread . Love this build always did when you were doing it. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooo when are you going to port my intake and i can buy a ported T/B in fact lol i should just drive up there with all my engine parts so we can put it together LOL hows that sound. I should get a head next month

how does upping the compressiong 1.2 , effect the amount of boost /structual security of the pistons/rods with such as big snail? i always thought higher compression=less safety running higher boost.

 

right now driving on the streets the car sounds great. the 37r doesnt seem to lagy with the big cams and all the porting as well as the 2.3l.

as far as tuner ill be using ivey again. hes a great guy to do business with.

i dont really have a idea of numbers or times. im hoping for something high enough to put a smile on my face.
