I have searched and haven't found anything. I was wondering if people could post up pictures of their Carbon Fiber hoods with the middle left Carbon and the sides painted the color of the car coming right off the lines of the headlights.

there are definately a few guys in here with that setup.

 

VIS Tracer Carbon hood. Got it used and badly damaged, yellow and dull. Sanded with 400 grit under the painted side for adhesion. Used 20 grit sandpaper to remove clear coat/resin all the way down to the fibers for the carbon side. Color matched then cleared with High build clear coat. No fish eyes or pin holes so im pleased on how it turned out.
This was my first attempt at spraying a carbon hood!

 

That came out impressively nice except for the colors not matching or it's just the angle of the photo

agreed painting it seems cheesy to me. Im buying either a siebon cw 2 or viz tracer hood next week. i will not be painting it thought about it but after seeing it done ill pass. here is a guy with a civic si i know with cf hood painted edges not a evo but same concept

here you go found this after searching for a minute. For all us bby guys that wanted to know. This hood is painted black/bby on the sides same concept again as carbon fiber/bby. Well at least give you a good example enjoy

 

Yea it’s the angle. The Micah and metallics in the graphite tend to change quite a bit in different angles and lighting. It makes me look twice also!
