I did mine in the spring time , but scuffed them up a little with like 1500 grit. Shoulda went higher to wet sand
They still look 100x better then stock though.

I would also like to know exactly what you used and how you prepped them. Also, how long did it take? I am doing mine at the end of the month if all goes well.

Its all about the prep guys. Obviously a can of dollar general paint wont work very well. As long as you prep them really good. I might be doing mine soon. Just hit the wheels with some red scotchbrite pads. Make sure they are scuffed really well. Once thats done wash them off with some soap and water. Just use regular dish soap. Then dry them off, mask how you want, then lay on about three light coats of black.

Then you should be good!

Thats pretty much what I did to mine. and I used 2 cans of dupli-color Acrylic Enamel Semi-Gloss Black and 1 can of Flat Black as the basic coat. cost me $14 for 3 cans of paint and a case of beer to get them done. Pretty cheap

So you don't have to strip all of the old paint off first? You just clean then thoroughly and respray them? That's too easy!!
