Honestly, the only things that makes the car look girly are the horn button and the decals. After that photoshoot, I had all the decals removed because track season was over. This car is not some riced out pos with girly stickers all over it (which is the stereotypical "girly" car). It's a serious track car and the Hello Kitty decals do not take away from that fact. A lot of guys have told me that they would rock the hell out of my car even with the HK on it.
If you look at my past cars, not one of them looks "girly" at all.

Well I would say it's not just the girly stickers. There seems to be a purple and pink theme around that car and those are feminine colors if nothing else.
And I don't understand why a "stereotypical girly car" has to necessarily be a POS or ricer. There are plenty of men who have riced out POS cars. My girl wants another Evo and I KNOW it will stay completely stock in appearance.
I'm sure it's a great track car. Otherwise why would it make it into a magazine right?? I don't think the HK decals take anything away, but I'm sorry it's justifiably girlie.
I'm not trying to take away from the accomplishment of being in a magazine, I just feel this importance of the sex of the driver is foolish. A woman driver means nothing more to me than a male driver.
Also automatically on a male populated forum people are going to say you're the greatest thing since sliced bread. Please consider the statement that guys have told you they would rock your car even with the HK stickers on it. Are you telling me that if it were a male driver all these guy would be all over it with the same compliments? And they would assure the male driver of the car that they would "rock the hell out of the car" even with the HK stickers on it? I don't think so. I've seen guy's get torn to pieces on these forums for even a slight fopaux that the general populous doesn't like. So to say guy's want to rock your car for it's aesthetic value (not taking away from it's performance because who wouldn't want to drive a fast car) and that has nothing to do with the owner of the car being female....well I would say that I don't believe that applies to most.
But I feel we all get by on the things we earn (hopefully). And it looks like that car was justifiably in the magazine.
But it still looks like a girly car and I stand by that statement.

That's great that your girl likes her cars to look stock. However, I don't. This is the only car I've ever done that has even a hint of femininity. I get what you're saying though...the car is only getting attention because it's very obvious that a girl owns it. The guy from Import Tuner who interviewed me barely asked me any questions about the car. He just asked me a bunch of stuff about how it feels to be a female in a male dominated hobby and do I feel intimidated, etc. I would have liked to have talked more about the car instead of me being a girl, but that's what they thought was best for the article since I did have HK decals on it.
But don't you worry. My next project is going to look like a "guy's car."
Appreciate it!
Haha I wish I had gotten the cover...I'm just a feature.
