Does it look like a "girly" car?

That's great that your girl likes her cars to look stock. However, I don't. This is the only car I've ever done that has even a hint of femininity. I get what you're saying though...the car is only getting attention because it's very obvious that a girl owns it. The guy from Import Tuner who interviewed me barely asked me any questions about the car. He just asked me a bunch of stuff about how it feels to be a female in a male dominated hobby and do I feel intimidated, etc. I would have liked to have talked more about the car instead of me being a girl, but that's what they thought was best for the article since I did have HK decals on it.

But don't you worry. My next project is going to look like a "guy's car."

That's exactly what I was referencing. While I definitely respect your statement that you would have liked to talk more about the car rather than yourself it drives me crazy to know that that's how a lot of female drivers get recognized for so little effort. Just being a woman has a huge advantage in this sport. But again that advantage is mostly to tool boxes that think "Wow, a female driver. Neat!"

Sorry if I assumed anything that was incorrect. I know my girl loved our Evo, but would definitely keep it looking stock because that was the best look to her. And I definitely respected that. Without the decals your car looks really good.

I will say I'd rather see a chick's car plastered with HK (or whatever) decals then to hear her driving a car with a VTA BOV!!

I bought this issue as soon as I saw it on the shelf. That's one bad looking evo.

I completely agree with what you said. There is a double standard when it comes to females in the car community. Unfortunately, the stereotypical girl into cars well outnumbers the girls who are REALLY into cars so that's what we have to deal with. I can't tell you how many times guys think I don't know anything and that my car had to be my boyfriend/husband's car. So it does go both ways.

Hopefully next time around (if there is a next time), I'll get to talk about my car more

Oh hey how are you? I haven't seen you in a very long time; it's good to hear from you! Yeah I actually haven't been out to Starbucks in a little while, but Terry goes once in a while. What happened to your black Evo? That's awesome you're getting another one...I don't blame you lol. Terry bought a white one hahaa.

Resurrection...

I cant believe I am just now reading this thread...
Anyway, I still think this EVO is bad *** and I am basically using it as a model for my track project. Also want to know more about the custom helmet hook/holder!

Tell me you still have this EVO and have no plans of selling/ trading it...
