2003 Rally Red Evo still shining!

6yrs of ownership and the car still shines like day 1 I spent 3 days claybarring, washing, and double waxing my car, and then proceeded to take it on a photoshoot. Enjoy!

Very nice. Miss my RR. What was your 3 day process? What did you do each day?

You spent three days cleaning the paint and totally forgot to take five minutes and put some tire shine on.

I'm just messing with you, the paint looks great. Red will fade very bad if you don't stay on top of it. Keep up the good work.

I did that on purpose (the non-tire shine). I'm putting some new wheels on tomorrow and didn't wanna grease up the old ones. You guys might see new pics after I put on the new wheels and tires--Yokohama Neova AD08s in ridiculously FAT 285/30/18 sizes, on silver 18X9.5+40 Enkei NT03-M's. I even had to install Dave's fender mod kit to get these to fit properly. I just gotta find another cool-looking location cuz the security guy came out of the building nearby asking me for a permit to take pics I even work in one of the buildings right behind where I took the photos.

Here's the breakdown on the detail job. It was around 11hrs total. I used to do this in one day but have lost the energy to do any more than 4hrs of work per day, heh.
Day 1 - washed with Meguair's Gold Class shampoo, then quickly washed again with Dawn liquid dish soap to strip old wax out.
Day 2 - claybarred the entire car (even the underskirt areas) with Zaino clay and Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo acting as lubricant. Then washed the entire car for a 3rd time with Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo.
Day 3 - waxed car with Meguiar's NXT GENERATION TECH 2.0 wax, twice.

Thanks for all the compliments! Makes all the laborious work all worth it!
