Thanks for the contributions, this makes me want to do more experimentation. I was also going for a darker kind of mysterious look in the pics that is why i have a lack of light if you will...Keep on shooting!

how do you do that without the camera picking you up?

 

The motion is so quick, it doesn't have time to pick up the person walking around, let alone being light enough to see them.

 

My "assistant" did the light, he was wearing dark colors where I was wearing light colors so he did the best to hide behind the car...

 

looks good, when my civic got shot for import tuner the photog did some stuff like this, the way he was doing it was cool and i thought the pics looked great but they never made it to the print

Within his 30 second exposure I was able to walk from the front of the car to the rear and back again with the light, and as long as I didn't stay in one spot for too long the camera never saw me. wearing a black jacket helped too
In the shots 3 & 5 I was actually between the car and the camera.
