i cant see how this would benefit the car at all performance wise. Its not sealed or pressurizing air going into the air filter so there is no ram effect. maybe if it was boxed in and air went into the box. I would say maybe for cooling effect buy obviously with a huge hole in the hood already and front bumper I dont think those two little holes are doing anything. Theres already enough replacement air coming in for the cone filter without those holes so whats the purpose if not aesthetic? I would say put the box back on and ram it into that but I just dont see enough air getting in through those two small holes to support the engine demand.

I did it mainly for aesthetics. Obviously a little more cool air in there can't hurt.
