Not a chance. Not only are the 15" slicks and wheels lighter than the 17" wheels and hoosier slicks, I saved a total of 70 pounds just from the brakes alone! Most of that was rotational mass. That is one of the biggest secrets to going fast with little power

Between the brakes, the wheels/tires, and my clutch, combined with the other weight loss in my car, 358 whp is all I needed to be able to smell 10's.

The Camaro traps a little bit more than me. It's like 102 in the 1/8th, and then 126 - 127 in the 1/4. I think it's best MPH was a 128 pass. If he painted that hood, it would totally be a sleeper. It has a flat black fiberglass cowl hood with dZeus fasteners holding it on, and it's REALLY LOUD, so it's only as much sleeper as someone expects, heh.

My car is stock block and stock turbo. It is light, around 2790# race weight, and I have full boltons (Buschur race fmic, ported exhaust mani, etc..). I also have lightweight AMS / Wilwood brakes and run slicks. At 28 - 29 psi, I make 358 whp and 358 ft/lb. I won't lie though, I drive the **** out of the car. I have been racing for years, and I am very consistant with my launches and shifts. It's a fun car

Ahhh thats sweet, thats where that sick *** ET is coming from then you can definitely drive. Right now Im stock turbo and block with Buschur boltons, HKS272s and meth, all Im missing is the manifolds and o2 which Ill be doing in spring after I put in the 5spd sitting in my garage. My goal is to get a mid 11 and trap 120 by the end of spring, havent been able to get myself a good launch at the track yet because I cant 2step launch, stock clutch no likey that lol. Ive only been 2 times tho, my best was 12.3 at 113 with a 1.8 60ft slipping the clutch out quickly at 4000rpm. The stock bov leaks like crazy, its shot. Im at 28psi also and the car is one big boost leak lol. Everytime I fix one spot another pops up which I feel explains the low trap speed.

It's tough to trap 120 on the stock turbo, but with enough weight reduction, you can do it. We have a few guys here going mid 11's @ around 115 - 117 consistantly. That's the pretty average range there, I'd say.

Yea thats more of what I was expecting right now to be honest was about 115, and then complete boltons and pick up about 2mph. Then if it came down to it I was gonna add the buschur stg 3 head and retune again with 100% meth and see where that puts me and maaaaybe swap in kelford 272's and sell the HKS's.
