Anyone have the SEIBON CW Hood, but painted

I was in a accident and due to the cost of replacing the hood, I am thinking about getting a carbon fiber one. I am looking at the SEIBON CW hood, but thinking about getting it painted with the exception of the scoops and vent. This way the hood looks stock, but the scoops and vents would look carbon.

I am looking for any pictures of cars that may have already done this. I have tried looking everywhere, but all I can find is unpainted hoods, or fully painted hoods. Here is a image of the hood for reference:

Aren't carbon fiber hoods heavier then the stock aluminum?

I wouldn't be glad your hood isn't made by Seibon. Imagine the type of company that produces parts that hideous!

Unless you are dropping some real money on a carbon hood, it is going to be a wet weave layup onto some type of mold which is normally fiberglass. In the end, these hoods are heavier and structurally unsound. Also, most of these are handmade by untrained people meaning their fitment isn't always 100%.

yup unless your getting fiber images custom made or robi spec its going to weigh the same as oem or alittle more. Those hoods require latches and i dont want hood latches on my car. just wanted alittle carbon fiber on this one. the looks is not for everybody then again who wants to look like another evo down the road.

basically that seibon hood is a voltex replica, so you might find it easier to find someone who has done the half paint half carbon on a voltex hood. IMO just paint the whole hood one color or leave it cf.

For those that think this is cheezy that's fine, but I was looking at doing something different. Sure getting a dry hood would be lighter and nicer, but I am not spending 1K on a hood that goes on my DD. Unlike some others I drive my car in rain, sleet, and snow. My car does not hold the concrete down in my garage.

As for SEIBON there are mixed reviews on everything. They don't 'require' hood latches, but they are recommented. My 2G had a SEIBON hood with no hood pins and I was very happy with there quality being that it was my 4th hood and the only one that fit well.

I did not ask for everyones negative comments, so please don't waste your time putting them in. As for RockmanX, I like the hood, and thanks for posting that up.
