what kind of system u got?
i love the quality of the quart but i really am not a big fan of bright speakers due to my personall taste and that is why i chose the silk dome tweeters. all my friends use MB in their sound competition cars which sound amazing but we have different taste in music..

1. Morel 3 way components/very similar to dynaudio(dynaudio bought lots of Morels tech years back)- Phoenix gold new titanium components use all the same morels I have used for years
2.JBL older GTi components 4" and 5.25"/ w silk image dynamics tweets and standard GTi xovers ( I have 3 sets for future use they dont make them anymore and used to be hella expensive- got a set like a month ago on ebay for $40 shipped
) also the GTI older coax 6.5 rocks3. Older black Diamond hex silk sets- 5.25 the best
4. New diamond Hex silks- 5.25 the best
5. quart Q series/ ADS 3 -- tie
6. Image Dynamics chameleon
7. Budget jl audio coaxs
^^^^ No horns, Rainbows, focals or other super expensive stuff though they can be quite awesome in comp systems too fineky for daily systems
Headunits
1. Older clarion dual dac 24 bit burr brown
2. Nak cd 45z- amazing sound at $300
3. Old alpine 7909
4. Macintosh cd
^^^^^ These are bare bones sound only no features like a lot of people like but oh well
Amps
1. ADS- all are awesome even the older ones that can be had quite cheap
2. PPI- Larger 4 and 6 channel cause of the great SQ and flexability
3. Zapco- great SQ but flexability is lacking
4. Mcintosh- super expensive but timeless SQ, quality flexability
5. budget - US acoustics -- great little boogers
Subs
1. Image Dynamics IDQ
2. Image Dynamics IDQ
3. Image Dynamics IQQ
4. JL audio 8.1 microsub
IDQ are cheap work well with any wattage- Amazing SQ, deep bass extension, and loudness
My .02 I have ran competed with or tested almost everything yall are mentioning- My reference is simple a pair od Sennheiser HD 600 headphones if you know them they are equal in bass/mid/and detailed on highs- certaily this is not what everyone is after

wow lots of info. really don't have time to read it. well anyway, why do most people do setup their engines b4 audio system. on my cars i always do my sound systems first b4 looks. the only car that i have with performance parts on it was the corolla liftback. yup wish still had that car. it'll be old skool. but i like it coz its fast, rear wheel drive. sometimes when i race with someone there since there is no speed limit, i often use high octane gas rather than regular gas. then after the race, i have to rest coz the car overheats(of course, HIGH OCTANE).i have to wait bout an hour to run again
