I have been looking at the X but just can't do it. Going to stick with the IX for a long time or unless the XI or XII is a huge improvement.

those wheels kinda look like the bbs found on the older body sti's, paint them all black and they look pretty close. ugly wheels for sure though. otherwise, very hot color.

not really sure how you guys keep thinking the EVO X is not capable but also by KILLING the competition in redline time attack with ryan gates evo x and also the ams evox.... the stock block is race proven to 500+ Just like the 4G also, depending what you are doing with the car, the 8 is just as good as the 9 and vice versa.... The evox just needs to get retuned asap but then suspension tech. is way above the evo 8/9

Anyways,

I hope you couldn't be happier with your purchase.... Although it sounds like now you are hearing the full story. Hopefully its not true :-/

Good Luck with your new ride,

i just think stock for stock, the evo x is too heavy and the suspension is too soft. the ix is a lighter and more raw performer out of the box, but the x can be made capable. obviously with ryan gates as the prime example.
spikey:
thank ya much.

What are you going to do if you find some bad accident history that your friend didn't tell you about? That would suck.

As long as it runs right and everything works what does it matter?

carfax is clean, so my dealer didn't necessarily know about the wreck. also, the body panels weren't damaged, but the paint was scratched to hell when he put it in to a barbed wire fence.
the paint looks great now, and it drives awesome, so i'm fine with it.

car looks GREAT! great upgrade. I've got a set of EVO IX stockers for sale if you need some cheap wheels.

gates' x is sick no doubt but they've done some crazy stuff to that car.. if i recall i think they went as far as to dip the chassis in acid or something??

good choice man, ixs are the street/autox champs for sure!
