Finally back to showing the Evo some love!!!
Since my wife and I bought our first house last October, all modifications to our Evo have pretty much ceased. Even though we purchased a brand new house, there are still plenty of things we want to do to it. We are now in the position to get back to showing our Evo some love!
A few weeks back we ordered some new Volk CE28 Genesis 18x9.5 +28 wheels from Evasive Motorsports. It will take another 6 weeks or so for them to arrive from Japan. We then ordered some Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 265/35R-18 tires from Discount Tire. These tires are sitting at our local Discount Tire waiting for the wheels to arrive. This setup will be for "normal" use. We are going to get a set of used wheels (maybe OEM or RFP1s) and some Hoosier DRs for drag racing.
We then turned our attention to the power department. Yesterday we ordered the following parts from AWD Motorsports:
* FP Black (with additional porting option)
* Tilton hybrid racing clutch (cerametallic/organic)
* Shearer 02 dump
* Buschur Racing double pumper fuel system
* Buschur Racing 3.25" intake powder-coated wrinkle black
These parts should start arriving within the next week or two and will be installed around that same time frame. Once the wheels are on and we are ready to have her tuned, we are going to purchase and have installed the following items:
* Buschur Racing OEM ported intake manifold
* Mil.Spec 65mm throttle body
* CBRD half-size radiator w/12" fan
Our goal will be ~450awhp @ 30psi with E-85 on Reese Tuning's Mustang dyno. We know that this goal is pretty realistic as there is another local Evo with almost the same modification list and the owner made this power:

This setup should be good for mid 10s. Eventually we will have the motor fully built and go for 600awhp+ with the same turbo and on the same Mustang dyno. That power should propel us well into the 9s. Needless to say we are very excited and anxious about all of this. Our Evo is already fairly fast and will soon become a complete monster!
Anyways, I just wanted to share the great news with you all! May you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Stage 1 complete. OEM radiator, exhaust manifold, turbo, and 02 housing removed:

The new parts should start trickling in next week! Needless to say my wife and I are pretty excited!
