Washing car in Winter!!!!

Everyone one of my friends that own nice cars call me CRAZY... They have, Evo X, STi, RX-8, GTI, G35... they all say im nutz!!!..

I live in PA, and it has been 15-25 out for the past few weeks... i hand wash my car every weekend no matter what really... they said they would even clean there own cars in this weather even if someone paid them too...

I was just wondering if other people hand wash there Evo's in the winter when it is cold out.... I really do to keep the salt and stuff of it....

Here are a few pic's of my car now
FYI: You can see the snow in the background haha

Last winter I tried washing my car outside and the water flow out of the hose began to slow and eventually stopped because it froze solid! I don't remember what the temp outside was, but that will give you a good idea....

i put on big rubber gloves and go to town....freeze your *** off but atleast your car isnt getting eaten away by the salt. that spray salt they put down is supposed to be even more deteriorating.

I do the same but I use the self service stalls at the car washes lol. I put on some blue dish washing gloves and use hand warming packs and I was my car by hand every weekend.

Hey you live right by West Chester University and I go out there everyother weekend/ I may be going there next year. Beautiful Evo! Sometime in the spring/summer we should do some pictures or something.

To answer your question, I wash my car twice a week in the winter.... BUT I do it at my work in a heated detail bay. God I'm such an ******* haha.

I wash my car every other weekend during the winter instead of every weekend.

If I drove my car durring the winter I would be out there with you washing every single weekend. Instead I drive my truck... which I wash at a minimum every other weekend. lol.

you still have your works on? so im assuming summer tires? thats a lot crazier (not to mention dangerous) than washing your car during winter.

idk if this was directed to me or someone else but let me say this....i will never drive on summer tires in the winter EVER again!

I know it seems like common sense, but for a broke college student, i could afford a set of winters, also i never really had the choice before, always road around on all seasons. so i thought no big deal......mistake lol

Scary **** when summer tires are on ice, It like driving around on hockey puck slicks lol 0 traction anywhere. Lesson learned thats for sure, but still had a lot of fun in the evo!

Woohoo, finally some people that are nutty just like me. I washed the car the other night and by the time I pulled in the garage to dry it off, the water had already turned into ice.

I'll be washing the car tomorrow after work since it'll be a heatwave outside (high is mid 50's).
