metal hood

i love that look. i always wanted to do it, but i never did. iwondered if the metal had flaws that would be seen. please PM me how you did this. did you clearcoat it after?

thats pretty sick with it. kinda reminds me of a japaneese rock a billy car how low it is and stripped paint minus the rust look. i would rock that for a minute. its more of a for show type thing thats why people arent feeling it that much. good job

I will clearcoat it after I finish. I need to fix some of the imperfections first by wetsanding them out.


I used aircraft stripper to remove the paint and primer from the aluminum hood. You can buy that from any auto parts.

U may want to consider using a tinted clear coat. This could make it look like a gun metal or dark chrome. U could also brush it to look like a delorian. Glad someone tried this, although bright hood might get ya in trouble with police
