my next question is, this being a full rear diffuser, will this work with the jdm rears?

No.

Where is Rexpeed to chime in on this? I'm really interested but, as I mentioned in my previous post, I don't think it'll work with stock exhaust or my Perrin CBE. If it in fact does work, I'll be all over it as I'd imagine others would too.

Looks to be designed to fit either straight or slanted cans... my only comment is it looks like it might catch air...

It's not made to fit the JDM bumper. If you were to put in on your car with a JDM bumper the diffuser may be too long, since the JDM bumpers are a little shorter than the USDM ones. Also there would be a gap where the Rexpeed diffuser meets up with the JDM diffuser. So if the diffuser were to be the right length it would be flush with the JDM diffuser. This is just my opinion from my experience from installing it. If you are wanting a rear diffuser for a JDM bumper check this out:http://rexpeed.net/new2007/product_d...php?serial=175

Hope this kind of helped you out with your decision. Aloha!

From installing this part, I think a OEM type muffler would fit with some trimming of the diffuser. I actually had to trim a bit to fit my slanted muffler. I'll try to borrow a stock exhaust from a friend and see how it lines up.

Any idea if this is actually effectual? Or is it just to look like it works?
Is the Perrin muffler the same size as the OEM one and is the angle the same. If so I'll try to line up a OEM muffler to check the clearance.

I'd rather not put $550 worth of CF under my car.

Sure. No, it will not fit a JDM bumper.

Better?

It's blatantly obvious and shouldn't need explanation, particularly to the owners of JDM bumpers. JDM bumpers are different size and shape than the USDM bumpers. This diffuser was made to fit USDM bumpers, ergo, it will not fit JDM bumpers. Mmmmmkay??

I know the angle of Perrin is the same as stock, not too sure about the size though; I think it's probably touch smaller.

Thanks for checking!

I think it is lame.

Go buy an APR part and keep the companies that develop parts in business.
Troof.

I own the APR piece and it is identical, if not better quality. The only difference I noticed is that the front lip where the support rods bolt in are flat on the RexSpeed. The APR has a rolled edge to stop the "parachuting" effect
