How do you clean the corners of your license plate cutout?

Like the title says, how do you clean the bottom left and right corners? I have ALWAYS had black crap stuck in there and I can never get it out. I've used everything from wash mits to rubber detailing tools. Nothing gets it out, any suggestions?

Sounds like you may need some clay. If I'm thinking what you're thinking.
