A couple teaser shots- new wheels
That's why I said in the OP that I knew some people wouldn't like it, others would love it like me. I got about the response I expected.
I could have sworn somewhere in the OP I said was about to start rolling/cutting, etc. Making wheels fit isn't something I "afford to do". I am doing it and I'm not paying. I need time, not money. The evo becoming more affordable has nothing to do with this, I've had mine for 4 years- They weren't cheap then...
Thanks for the comments everyone! Just to clarify, I'm not doing widebody or any of that crap. The car is going to fit the wheels. It might take a while, but I'll get it done.

I'm curious to see what satisfies the owner. But if it were my car I couldn't imagine doing it without adding some material to the fenders and front and rear bumper. Even if you get crazy with the fenders, I don't see the bumpers looking right.
im sorry but if thats what you consider "fitting" in the rear, your way off. That may not rub, but I don't think anyone would consider that "fitting". Your gonna need to flair the **** out of the rears/run mega negative camber to get that to look good.
OMFG - lmao - i swear, when i was in austin 2006'ish, they probably had the highest per capita of cars that looked like that. the worst had to have been the 94 body mustang colored green with unpainted front and rear bumpers and what looked like an poorly matched/painted rear wing like the 96 gsx eclipses - it was so funny i didn't care to get angry at it - rather ballsy to be driving around like that
OP, it's looking like you're definitely gonna end up having to do some fender work in the rear (beyond rolling/flaring) to make the rear look right. How far do you plan on trying to manipulate the stock fender?
This project would have been an assload of work for a competent body shop to work through. Using a die grinder and fender rolling tool is not going to give you 3 inches of reach. The proper way to make that combo work is to cut out the arches of the front and rear fenders, and smooth in new steel that's been welded in that will reach out over the tires.
I had an S2000 recently that I rolled and did some cutting on. IMO, rolling fenders ruins the actual rear quarters as it tends to bow in the metal just above the rolling. Hard to explain, but I know the OP knows what I'm talking about because I can see it in the rear shots. Good luck with whatever you wind up doing. Just don't drive it like that because you'll crash.
