How to remove exhaust stains from rear bumpers?

How do you guys keep the rear bumper clean?? Especially the
part of the bumper for exhaust openings??

My bumper is badly stained after only 2000 miles... I tried claying
but didn't seem to work that well...

Thanks,

i found that using mild pressure and windex works wonders, make sure you use a clean terry cloth towel so as not to put scratches in paint and wipe off with water after windex

Have you tried Mothers wax cleaner?

Also, any bug and tar remover?

OOooo, take some pics of it before you clean it off. Exhaust stains make me smile(for some odd reason).

i use dried carnuba (ms) wax, just get a cloth damp (polishing cloth) and then add some powder, and rub into a paste removes it instantly

Mothers Pre Wax cleaner worked wonders for my rear bumper exhaust soot stain.

Apply liberally, do not use pressure when applying it to the paint
surface....just a gentle rub.

I had the same exact problem. My Yellow rear bumper was more of a brownish color after 17k miles of driving! The clay bar didn't help at all.

use carnuba. you don't need to buy mother's or meguairs, any old cheap carnuba will work, just make sure you go over it with your product of choice when you are done. carnuba will remove almost anything that might you might think is stuck on your paint. just put a dab on your applicator and give it some force, it'll come off.

precisely, i use 100% carnuba dried wax.

Then use premium wax to finish it up like meguairs or i've been trying this stuff called perma-seal
