thanks for the link.

what did you use to plastic weld? I really want to do this now. It makes the front end look so clean, plus my front bumper really needs a repaint anyway. Might as well kill two birds with one stone.

they make plastic welding kits or you can just use a soldering iron with a flat tip

You can also get plastic bumper repair glue, it works great.

this is not a good idea for the size of the piece...plastic welding will be significantly stronger with no wait time for anything to dry
