SOrry to bring an almost dead thread back... but just wondering if you guys painted the fabric still installed on the seat or peeled it all off and laid it out (pain in the azz)? Also, if one were to paint RED would it turn purple (blue + red = purple)? LOL

No, the fabric was painted still attached onto the seat frame, the seats are already mainly black so if you get more black on them who cares? I wouldn't suggest painting over a color with another color, no telling what could/will happen...if anything my suggestion is to stay black

Thanks. I'm thinking of painting a set I have in my basement for a track car. I might just do red and hope for the best...if it purples out, oh well...jdm hahaha

this thread has been on my mind for a little bit and wondering the same about the red painting... painting something lighter i cant see working only getting a dark hue but if you have ***** to bleach the section to pure white then paint the white, you may be in business. Thats the only way i can see this working haha

I was thinking the same...using bleach to white out the blue first. My only concern with that is weakening the thread and material even further. My wife bleached my socks so bad one time they ripped in half when I put them on.

Evolento.. If you do red... Then im definitely going to be biting off of you. Lol

i bought the extra set for my boosted civic. Thinking of keeping that red/black and doing black/black on the evo!
