Installed Rexspeed T1 Trunk Lip...

Rexpeed's Type 1 Carbon trunk lip spoiler was delivered today and I installed it. I gave the area a good claybaring, then alcohol rub before install using 3M tape provided from Rexpeed. I didn't know that I had to also remove the Mitsu Diamond badge but I like the way it looks. Let me know what you think.

I've been driving wingless for about a week now, it's been almost 3 years. I loved the way the stock wing looks, how it accents and fits the lines and dimensions of the car. However, for some reason I like the change.

i want this soooo bad but just have a hard time convincing myself to go wingless lol the whole drag effect of the oem wing at high speeds is what worries me. btw, what did you use to plug the holes in the trunk?

Thanks guys, the car still looks really aggressive, just a more subtle approach.

I've been thinking the same thing. The last HPDE I was in at NJ Motorsports Park, I was topping around 125-128 on the front staight before getting on the brakes hard for a 4th gear, off camber, turn 1. I might throw a post up in the motorsports forum to get a better answer.

As far as the plugs, they are just body plugs bought at my local auto paint shop. I clipped them down because they were about 1.5" long, then lightly sanded, primed, and sprayed them with a few coats.

Looks awesome! I was looking more into Type 2 or Type 3 cause I kind of like the idea that I can still keep my OEM spoiler on if need and I'm not sure if Type 1 will allow me to do that.

i used vinyl for the holes

sometimes i think my color matched type-1 was the right choice, other times i think CF woulda been there... i think CF one matches better with jdm bumper

yeah, vinyl with a little silicone in the hole would have been cleaner. Can't find any vinyl that matches E Blue at all though. Black is easy!
