it is legally impossible. you can bring them here all day thats not the issue. you can't legally own it, if you get caught the car will be seized.

Pretty sweet, I would love to do a project like this!

Just a thought, while you got everything ripped apart and metal exposed why not seam weld the crap out for the car like rally builders do for rigidity?

i've thought about this a lot, but being that im not a welder and don't really have the money to pay someone to do it(though i have no clue what it would cost) its pretty much whats holding me back. this project has been long delayed due to things in life, but i should be getting a house soon and that means my own garage so the project we be put back to life and in motion very soon

finally updating this
okay so a lot has changed since my last update so let me get this caught up to speed

I decided to stick with the USDM Evo 9RS rear and got it all bolted up

finally got the "evo" rolling...

rims are the wrong offset so the fronts dont fit over the brembos ftl

then I bought a house so i now have a garage i can work on the car in

got the car towed to my house yesterday, now i am gonna just try to get eveything organized and create my list so that i can get stuff done

Here she is in her new resting place waiting to be put together

you can do the the conversion anywhere you'd like, if your asking due to smog or registration requirements i have no clue how strict new york is, but from what im told california is the worst place to do something like this, so if im able to do you should be fine
