Question Head Unit Relocation Kit

Hi all-
Just a quick question -- I plan to install guages in the DIN head unit space, so I searched the forum and found that a "Head-Unit Relocation Kit" was available to move the radio into the space below the current location. Does Mitu carry this kit, and would the dealer have it -- or is there a better place to find it??? Thanks...

Also, I had planned on using Omori guages and their DIN guage placement, but I just read on their website that they completely dropped operations in North America:

Anyone have any suggestions for relatively inexpensive guages with a DIN plate available?

its actually called the CD Changer install kit

MZ598263EX is the part number

you can get a 1 DIN, 3 gauge from saab, or from VW, also aftermarket for both.

i don't have the part numbers but i bought one from an online vendor, for VW parts fits fine

I'm assuming this is the same thing, only they are calling it the Sports Meter install kit.

Any thoughts?

It has the same part number, so I assume it's the same thing. I ordered it, so if it arrives and is not as expected I'll let you know. It looks to be a cleaner solution, instead of the A-pillar pods.

I have my head unit on the bottom where the stock sports meter kit option thing would go, and have my gauges where the stock radio came on the car. Much easier to see the gauges that way. I did use that in dash CD changer mounting kit thing. Got it from mitsubishiparts.com. I think the dealer wanted something like $83 for it. Ended up paying around $50 from this place. Comes with metal brackets to move the radio out, plus the plastic piece you see.

I did some looking around for you and found two other topics of the same thing. One of them points to this thread. It is also where I posted pics of my install.
